Acknowledgement from the family of the late Philomena Crummy – R.I.P.

We, the sons and daughters of the late Philomena Crummy, Dominic Street, Newry, wish to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to all who offered their sympathy and supported us during the recent sudden and unexpected bereavement of our dear mother.

We are very grateful to our wider family, friends and neighbours who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, brought food and sent flowers and who attended the wake and funeral. Your presence meant a lot and was very much appreciated.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the NIAS AND PSNI officers who attended Mum’s house on the morning of her death for their efforts, support, professionalism and empathy.

A special word of thanks to Fr Patrick Desmond who celebrated the funeral mass alongside Fr Mehigan and Fr Tumilty. Many thanks to all the Dominican priests including Fr McKeown, Fr Farrelly, Fr Ruaidhri, Fr Ralph and Fr Tohill for their attendance at Mum’s wake and for all their support during this difficult time.

Thanks to Janice Gribben for her beautiful singing and playing during the mass which really added to the occasion.

Thanks also to Lislea Community Centre for the use of the community hall and to Courtney’s for the refreshments after the funeral.

Finally, special thanks to Jacqueline, Paddy and the staff from McGennity’s Funeral Directors, Newry for their support, guidance, dedication and professionalism during this sad time.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our appreciation and gratitude.

Mum’s month's mind mass will be celebrated on Sunday 19th October at 12.30pm in St Catherine’s Church, Dominic St, Newry.

Always missed by her sons, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, son and daughter-in-law, nieces and nephews in Ireland, Jersey, Scotland and USA.

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her gentle soul.
