Month's Mind Mass / Acknowledgement

Phyllis CARLIN (née McNutt)

Died 8th February 2024

The family of Phyllis Carlin would like to thank all those who supported us in the recent loss of our dear mother. Sincere thanks to all who attended the wake, sent flowers, mass cards, messages of condolence and supported us during the funeral.

Our sincere appreciation to our extended family, friends and neighbours who visited and assisted during the wake, and to all those who generously provided refreshments.

Our thanks to Fr Canny and Fr Doherty for the lovely funeral service and for their spiritual support to Phyllis during her illness. Our gratitude also to Eilis, Maire and Ursula for the beautiful music and singing which enhanced the funeral mass.

We thank Bradley and McLaughlin Funeral Directors for the sensitive and dignified way in which they carried out all the funeral arrangements. We appreciate the work of Cassidy's Cafe in providing refreshments after the funeral in Ardmore Parish Hall.

Throughout Phyllis's illness we were blessed to have the support of so many medical professionals. We are particularly grateful to the staff of Glendermott Medical Practice and the district nurses whose professionalism enabled Phyllis to stay at home throughout much of her illness, supported by the friendly staff of Strabane and District Caring Services. We thank the Oncology Department in Altnagelvin for their support in the early stages of Phyllis's illness. We are touched by the outstanding care that Phyllis received from all the staff of the Foyle Hospice in her final few weeks.

A special word of appreciation for Phyllis's neighbours in Benvarden Avenue, the staff and members of Age Concern on Chapel Road, the walking group and all her dancing partners for the friendship and kindness you have given to Phyllis over the years, especially since the sad passing of her beloved husband, Noel, in 2017.

Phyllis' month's mind mass takes place in St. Columb's Church, Chapel Road at 12.30pm on Sunday 10th March.
