Acknowledgement and Month's Mind Mass

We, the family of the late Phyllis McLaughlin, 54 Prehen Park, Derry, wish to acknowledge with deep appreciation all those who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement. Our heartfelt thanks to our extended family circle, many friends and work colleagues for their kindness in calling at our home, sending Mass cards, messages of sympathy online and to all those from near and far who attended the wake and funeral. Your kindness, your prayers and your words of comfort brought us strength at a time when it was needed most, and we will never forget the compassion shown to our family.

A special word of thanks to Fr. Pat O’Hagan for the very fitting and dignified funeral Mass. Thank you to Fr. Joe Gormley for concelebrating. Thank you to Ursula Cullen and Robert Peoples who added greatly to the music provided by Phyllis’ family at the funeral mass. We would also like to acknowledge with gratitude Fr. Michael Canny, Fr. Patrick Lagan and Fr Pat O’Hagan who visited and prayed with Phyllis in hospital and supported the family during the wake.

Our sincere thanks goes to the wonderful staff of Glendermott Medical for their exceptional care, compassion and consistent support of Phyllis. We are especially grateful to the staff of Altnagelvin Hospital . We thank Dr. Rose Sharkey for her unwavering dedication, professionalism and kindness. Also, a special mention of gratitude and acknowledgement to Dr. Malek and the specialist nurses, Helen McCormick and Karen Harper. We would like to express our gratitude to the caring and dedicated staff of Ward 50 who showed such care, compassion and respect towards Phyllis.

Our warmest thanks to Kieran, Noeleen and the entire team at W J O’Brien & Son Funeral Directors, Eglinton, for their dignified and attentive manner in all things pertaining to the wake and funeral. Thank you to Phelim and Siobhan from Curran’s bakery who provided the refreshments after the funeral.

Thank you to the neighbours of Prehen whose incredible generosity, support, and presence during the wake brought immense comfort to the family.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a sincere expression of our deepest appreciation and gratitude.
