Raymond (Nanny) O’Reilly
Died 24th September 2025
We, the family of the late Raymond O’Reilly, wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who supported us during our recent bereavement. To everyone who called at the home, attended the wake or funeral, sent Mass or sympathy cards, flowers, donations or remembered us in prayer, your kindness brought great comfort.
We are especially grateful to our family and friends who provided food, refreshments, and practical help throughout those days. Your generosity and thoughtfulness will never be forgotten.
Our sincere thanks go to all those who cared for Raymond with such compassion, including the staff of Marie Curie Cancer Care, the Foyle Hospice, the District nurses, the GP’s and staff at Quayside Medical Practice, Social Services and Strabane & District Caring Services. Your professionalism and empathy were deeply appreciated.
We also thank the priests of the Three Patrons for their spiritual support, Father Gerard Mongan for celebrating a beautiful Requiem Mass, the musicians for their moving contribution, and the church sacristan for their assistance.
Our appreciation extends to W J O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Directors, Eglinton, for their dedication and dignity in handling all arrangements.
As it is impossible to thank everyone personally, please accept this notice as a sincere expression of our deepest thanks and appreciation.
‘I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near just around the corner. All is well. Nothing is past; nothing is lost.’
The Month’s Mind Mass for Raymond will be celebrated on Sunday, 26th October, at 12.00pm in St Columba’s Church, Longtower.
