Robert John (Scalper) DOWNES
Downes – Robert John (Scalper), peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, at 1.47am Tuesday 16th December, a nod to Robert’s history with the number 147. Devoted son of the late Bobby and Ruby, dearly loved husband of Sarah, loving father of Carol-Ann, Christopher, William and Harry and adored Daddy of Ruby May. A much loved granda of Ava, Lana, Clark, Reuben and Caleb, son-in-law of May and the late Raymond, father-in-law of Cheryl, loyal brother, brother-in-law, uncle and cherished friend to so many.
House strictly private.
The Funeral cortege will arrive at Ballinteer Road/Farranseer Park, Macosquin at 10.30am on Friday 19th December 2025 for family and friends to pay their respects.
Funeral service in St. Mary’s Parish Church, Macosquin at 12 noon followed by a private family Committal.
