Ronnie’s wife Marina and his children, Ross, Rhonda, Kyle, Kirsty and family circle of the late Ronnie Galway wish to thank all those who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement.

Thanks to Dr Shane Murray, Dr Gavin Devlin, and admin staff from Montalto Medical Centre, Marie Curie Hospice N.I., Oliver Mallon (N.I. Hospice), District Nurses and Jark Healthcare team for all their unfailing care and attention during Ronnie’s illness.

Also thanks to those friends and neighbours who sent cards, telephoned, brought gifts, made a donation via online at www.douglasfuneraldirectors.com for N.I. Hospice and Marie Curie Hospice N.I. cheques payable to Douglas Donations Account c/o 20 Dromore Road, Ballynahinch, BT24 8HP, or helped in any other way.

A very special word of thanks to Rev. Scott Woodburn for his prayers, words of comfort, visits to Marie Curie Hospice and to the home, and for conducting such beautiful funeral services at Douglas Funeral Church and Roselawn Crematorium.

My sincerest heartfelt gratitude to Bill and Anne Reid for permitting me time off work during my very difficult time, I really appreciated their support, kindness and compassion.

Thank you to John Wallace, Bill Reid, David Jess and all the team at Douglas Funeral Directors, who were all present at the funeral, the entire arrangements, conducting, crowd control were just superb, we couldn’t have had a more professional and dignified service. Thank you to Bill Reid again for permitting me to accompany Ronnie on his final drive from the home to the Service of Thanksgiving, it was such a comfort to me.

Thanks also to Brian Mulholland, Organist for the lovely music; to Edengrove Presbyterian Church for the use of the hall and Tom Bryans for the delicious refreshments after the service, my daughter Susan who helped me so much before (my painter) and after Ronnie’s return home, and to my son Andrew for all his and Lucia’s help. Thanks to my sisters Iris and Gladys and my brother-in-law Bobby, all of the above really helped me cope during the last few months. To my neighbours John Herron who came to take the dog out whilst Ronnie couldn’t and to Pat Parke for the scones and sandwiches she left up during the wake.

Finally thanks to all who came to the service at Douglas Funeral Church on Saturday 13th January, it was a massive support to the entire family circle knowing that Ronnie was so well thought of.

Trusting this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
