The death has occurred of:
Rose Devlin (née O'Boyle)
The family of the late Rose Devlin wish to express our heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to all who sympathised with us during the recent sad bereavement of our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
We are most grateful to our wider family, friends, and neighbours for their kindness and support. We reach out to all who called at the house, telephoned, sent mass and sympathy cards, messages, flowers, and to those who attended the wake and funeral. Your thoughtfulness brought us great comfort and strength at such a difficult time.
A special word of thanks to the carers, the Medical Centre, and to the staff of Ward 1 North, Craigavon Hospital for the professional and compassionate care and attention given to Rose. Your dedication and kindness will never be forgotten. A special note of thanks goes to nurse Una Brady who provided such warmth that Rose sure did appreciate in her final hours.
Thank you also to Lynch’s, Clonoe, Bert’s Pizza, Annagher Services, St Vincent de Paul, Derrylaughan GAA Club and to everyone who brought food and equipment to the house. The generosity of so many, both near and far, was overwhelming and deeply appreciated.
We offer a sincere thanks to Patsy and Edel of Taggart Funeral Services for the dignified and caring way they carried out the funeral arrangements, and for the tremendous support and guidance they gave our family throughout.
We are also especially grateful to Father John McCallion for his support and for celebrating Rose’s Requiem Mass, and to Canon Benny Fee for remembering her in prayer in Rome. We give thanks also to Margaret Taggart the sacristan for preparing the chapel, and to Briege Canavan and Nuala McCormick for providing such beautiful music. A special note of thanks goes to Gary Harte the gravedigger and son-in-law to Rose, for preparing her final resting place.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a sincere token of our deep appreciation and gratitude.
The Month’s Mind Mass for Rose Devlin will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Church, Clonoe, on Saturday 4th October at 11am.
St Jude, patron of perseverance, courage and comfort in difficult times, pray for her.
