The death has occurred of:
Rosemary McALEER (née Maguire)
The family of the late Rosemary McAleer, who passed away peacefully at home on 20th February 2026, wish to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported and sympathised with us during our recent sad loss.
We are deeply grateful to all who called at the wake, attended the funeral, sent Mass cards, messages and prayers, or helped us in any way. Your kindness and support meant so much to us at this difficult time.
A special word of thanks to O’Kane Bros Funeral Directors for their compassionate and professional care. Sincere thanks to Fr Bradley for the beautiful and heartfelt Requiem Mass. We also thank Omagh Spires Special Olympics Club for the touching Guard of Honour in Mum’s memory.
Our heartfelt gratitude to the Palliative Care Team at Omagh Hospital, and to the Marie Curie and Macmillan nurses, whose kindness, care and support were a blessing to Mum and to all of us.
We take comfort knowing Mum is now reunited in her final resting place with our beloved Daddy, Phelim.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children Catherine (Trevor), Michael (Sylvia), Lorraine, Helena, Mary (Michael), Emma (Aodhan) and Naomh (Karl), her cherished grandchildren Cian, Phelim, Fintan, Ellen, Ultan, Keeva, Emmet, Oscar, Thea, Mya and Rose, and the wider family circle.
Rosemary’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 29th March at 9.00am in St Mary’s Church, Killyclogher.
