Sally Boyle née Cooper

Died - 7th May 2026

The loved ones of the late Sally Boyle would like to express their gratitude to all those who called to the wake to sympathise with them, attended the funeral and burial and those who offered messages of condolence; especially those who travelled long distances, including her grandson Ciarán from NYC.

Special thanks to Sinead and Denise, the paramedics who took Sally to hospital. Your kindness and gentle way with her will always be remembered. Thanks also to the staff of CCU in Altnagelvin Hospital for their dedicated care of Sally.

We would like to thank Fr. P. Lagan, Fr. M. Canny, Fr. S. Doherty and Fr. M. McGavigan for their visits to the hospital and to Sally’s wake to offer us support.

A special word of thanks to Christine who helped prepare Sally’s wake and who fed the family. We couldn’t have done it without you. Thanks to Katie, Leah and Louise who organised refreshments for those paying their respects to their beloved granny.

We are so grateful to Fr. Patrick Lagan for the beautiful mass and burial he celebrated for Sally and for his lovely words and spiritual guidance.

Thanks to all Sally’s grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her special little neighbour friend who read, took up gifts and led the prayers of the faithful with such reverence.

Sally would have loved the music provided at her funeral. Thanks to her granddaughter, Sally Mae for her singing tribute to her granny and to Ursula Cullen-Morrison, who accompanied her and supported her so beautifully throughout the mass.

Thanks to all of Sally’s neighbours in Clós Ghort na Sí who looked out for her over the years and to her neighbour friends in Thornhill Park for their patience over her busy wake.

Finally, we are especially grateful to Kieran, Warren and all the staff of McClafferty Funeral Directors. Your guidance and professionalism was very much appreciated. You were so respectful and understanding.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, a mass in Thanksgiving has been arranged for this Sunday 7th June at 7.00pm in St Eugene’s Cathedral thanks to the late Sally’s dear friends, Pat and Grainne.

O’ Sacrament most holy, O’ Sacrament Divine, All Praise and all Thanksgiving, Be every moment thine.

Have you considered?
