The death has occurred of:
Sally McCALLION (née Quigley)
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT / MONTH'S MIND MASS
Sally Mc Callion
We, the family of the late Sally Mc Callion, would like to sincerely thank everyone who offered sympathy, kindness and support during the recent bereavement of our beloved wife and mammy.
We are so grateful to everyone who prayed for Sally and sent kind messages during her illness. To the huge numbers who came to the wake, brought Mass/Sympathy Cards and attended the Funeral Mass, your heartfelt presence helped us in this difficult time. Thank you for giving Sally the beautiful send-off she so well deserved.
Thanks to all who took the time to write such lovely comments about Sally online and to those who sent beautiful cards in the days that followed. It was evident how much she was thought of, and how she touched so many lives particularly as a good friend, and a wonderful teacher. The messages brought us great comfort.
Thank you to the medical professionals who cared for Sally throughout her illness and in particular Dr Black and the staff of Abbey Medical, the home care team from the Foyle Hospice who arrived just at the right time always, the district nurse team who provided such special care for Sally over the past few years and the Marie Curie team who helped us in Sally's last few days. Your care and kindness for Sally throughout her illness was incredible and made the journey a lot easier for all of us. A special thanks to all of Sally's Angels who cared for Sally at home over the past few months. We as a family will never forget the kindness you showed Sally and we will be forever grateful for you coming into our lives.
Thank you to Father Joe for administering Sally's final sacraments, which brought peace to our family, and to Father Peter who also celebrated Sally's funeral mass. Thank you both for your continued prayers.
To Charlene Mc Daid, for the beautiful singing and Reamonn and Caroline for the beautiful music. A special thanks to Saoirse, Mollaí and Dearbhla from the Acadamh Ceoil.
We would like to thank the staff and pupils of Gaelscoil Éadain Mhóir for the beautiful guard of honour at the chapel. This touched us all and meant a lot.
We are so thankful to Bradley & McLaughlin Funeral Directors for their guidance, professionalism and quiet presence throughout the wake and funeral.
Thank you to our incredible extended family who helped carry us through the days before Sally's passing, as well as during the wake and funeral. We will never be able to thank you enough. You gave so much without being asked. We could not have done this without you, and we thank you for your continuing love and support.
We hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a sincere token of our gratitude to everyone who sympathised and supported us in all the different ways. Please continue to keep Sally in your prayers.
Sally's Month’s Mind Mass will be offered in Holy Family Chapel, Derry on Thursday 26th February at 7.15pm.
