Samuel Reid
Acknowledgement- Samuel Reid
We, the family of the late Sammy Reid, Omagh (formerly Castlederg) wish to extend our sincerest thanks to all those who sympathised with us following the death of our much loved father.
The thoughtfulness and support extended to us, through many acts of kindness by family, friends and colleagues was greatly appreciated and will always be remembered.
To those who have given donations in lieu of flowers and continue to do so in our father’s memory to Trinity Presbyterian Church, thank you.
We would wish to extend our thanks to those who cared for our beloved father in both the community and in hospital, including the staff of Glen Caring, Derg Valley Care, the Luncheon Club, Three Rivers Care Home and the constant support of his carer Roberta. We would like to thank the staff of the Western Health and Social Care Trust, for the community support provided by District Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Social Work Teams. We are particularly indebted to the staff of Emergency Department, Ward 1 and the Palliative Care team of the South West Acute Hospital, your kindness and professionalism will never be forgotten.
We would wish to thank the Rev. Jane Nelson for the pastoral support provided to our father and our family, and for conducting the funeral service, which touched the hearts of many and provided such comfort to us. We would also like to express our sincere thanks to Stanley Matthews, organist along with Claire McElhinney and Joan Somerville of Trinity Presbyterian Church. We would like to thank all who read at the funeral or acted as a pallbearer, with a special thanks to Lucy for her beautiful singing. Many thanks are also extended to Piper, David Rennie.
Thank you to Armstrong’s Funeral Directors for the very dignified way, in which they carried out the funeral arrangements and for the kindness and support they provided throughout. Thank you also to the grave diggers who prepared the grave.
Finally, sincerest thanks to Edel McDermott, Linda McSwiggan and Crea-Jane McLarnon who assisted so ably at the wake and to The Silverbirch Hotel for providing the funeral tea.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a sincere appreciation of our gratitude.
