A letter of acknowledgement and appreciation from the family of the late Sarah Anne Redmond (née Laverty)

The family of the late Sarah Anne Redmond (R.I.P.) wish to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised with them on their recent loss of a much-loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, mother-in-law and sister-in-law.

We would like to sincerely thank all relatives, friends, neighbours and colleagues for their kindness, prayers, messages of condolence, Mass cards and flowers. We are especially grateful to all those who attended the wake and funeral and shared memories and helped us to both celebrate and grieve our great loss.

We are deeply grateful to all those who cared for mum throughout her illness especially the carers, Community Respiratory Team and Doctors and Nurses in Antrim Area Hospital.

We offer our sincere thanks to Boyds for supplying food and to Moneyglass Community Centre for the use of their hall. We would also like to thank the Weir and Duffin families for all their help with the lighting and gritting, the CRDA for providing seating, and all those who brought food to the house and helped in any way during the wake and funeral.

A special word of thanks to Rev Fr James O’Reilly PP for his prayers, guidance, support and for celebrating Requiem Mass. Our sincere thanks to the Gribbin Girls for their beautiful singing, the musicians who played at the house and Mass, all those who took part in the Mass, the Sacristan and Eucharistic Ministers.

Thank you to Marrion’s Funeral Directors for the very caring and dignified way in which they carried out the funeral arrangements.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Anne’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 7th February 2026 at 6.00 pm in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Moneyglass. May our beautiful mum rest in peace.
