Acknowledgement Notice for the late Seamus Colton RIP (Edendork)

Caroline, Ciara, Carla, Niall, Cormac and Patrick wish to express their heartfelt and sincere thanks to all who sympathised with them on the sudden and recent bereavement of the late Seamus RIP, a loving husband, father and grandfather.

The family have been deeply comforted by the kindness, compassion and support shown by extended family, friends, colleagues and the local community.
A special word of thanks to Fr Eamonn Mc Camley for his spiritual support, guidance, pastoral care and for celebrating the Requiem Mass.

We thank the emergency services, in particular the first responders, PSNI and the Coroner for their compassionate attendance and assistance.

We are especially grateful to the many relatives, friends, neighbours and members of the wider community for their presence and support; those who attended the wake and funeral, including those who joined via webcam and travelled long distances; phoned, sent messages and cards of condolence; formed guards of honour and walked along the route, and those who so kindly served or provided gifts of food.

We are truly grateful to Emma Mc Veigh and accompanying pianist Patrick for the beautiful music played during the funeral; to the Church Sacristan and the Eucharistic Minister; to the family members who took part in the liturgy readings and gift bearing; and to Kieran Kelly and Peter Mc Hugh who prepared the grave with such care.

Heartfelt thanks to Edendork GAC for the supply of chairs for the wake and to the members who supported the funeral procession from the family home to the chapel.

Finally, the family wish to extend their gratitude to E. Quinn & Sons Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out. We are extremely thankful for the compassion and respect that was given.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere thanks and appreciation.

The Holy Sacrifice of the mass will be offered for the intentions of all.

The Month’s Mind Mass for Seamus will be celebrated on Sunday, 25th January at 12pm in St. Malachy’s Church, Edendork.
