The death has occurred of:
Seamus MAGUIRE
Gabrielle Maguire and family wish to express their sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported them during Seamus’ illness, at the time of his passing and throughout the weeks that have followed.
We are deeply grateful to our family circle, friends, neighbours and the wider community for the kindness, compassion and support shown to us. To all who called at the wake, attended the funeral, sent Mass cards and sympathy cards, offered prayers, sent messages or posted tributes online, your words of comfort and the memories shared have brought us great consolation during this difficult time.
A special word of thanks to everyone who brought food, assisted with transport or parking and helped in any way at the family home. These thoughtful acts of kindness and generosity meant so much to us and will never be forgotten.
Our sincere thanks to Fr Gabriel for his comforting visits to Seamus during his illness, his guidance and support following Seamus’ passing, and for celebrating such a beautiful and fitting Requiem Mass. We also extend our gratitude to the Sacristans, Eucharistic Ministers, Readers and the singer, Karen McElroy, for all their contribution to the Funeral Mass.
We wish to express our heartfelt appreciation to Paul and Yvonne, Mohan Funeral Directors, for their professionalism, kindness and compassionate support throughout the funeral arrangements. Your calm and thoughtful guidance was invaluable to our family. We are also grateful to the grave diggers for preparing Seamus’ final resting place with such care and respect.
A special word of thanks to Brian’s Bar and staff for providing the refreshments following the funeral.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Seamus’ carers, Bernie and Bridget, and all the health professionals who cared for and supported Seamus throughout his illness. We will always remember the compassion, dedication and dignity shown to Seamus, and our family, particularly during the most difficult days.
We have been deeply moved by the kindness and generosity shown to us during this time. The support we have received has brought us great comfort and is a testament to the affection and respect in which Seamus was held. We are truly grateful to everyone who has helped us through these difficult weeks.
In memory of Seamus, a cheque for £1,500 has been forwarded to Parkinson’s NI. We are grateful for all donations made in support of this very worthy cause.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation. Your kindness and support will always be remembered.
Seamus’ Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 25th October 2026 at 10.00am in St. Macartan’s Church, Aghadrumsee.
The Mass will also be available to view via the church webcam at: https://www.churchservices.tv/aghadrumsee
As we mark Seamus’ Month’s Mind, we take comfort from the love, friendship and kindness shown to him throughout his life, and from the support extended to his wife and family during these difficult weeks. The generosity and goodwill shown have been a lasting reminder of the high regard in which Seamus was held and of the many lives he touched through his kindness and friendship.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.
Our Lady of Knock, pray for him.
