The wife, family and family circle of the late Sean McGeown wish to express their sincere and heartfelt appreciation to all who offered sympathy, support and kindness following their recent bereavement. To all the family, friends and neighbours, to those who sent mass cards, sympathy cards, those who made donations to Friends of the Cancer Centre Belfast City Hospital, came to the house, brought food, attended the funeral and helped in any way we thank you.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Fr Maciej for celebrating the beautiful Requiem Mass and Niamh Murray for the beautiful singing.
Also to the grave digger for preparing the grave and Tony McMullan for the Service booklets.
Thank you to Jack and Margaret McLearnon for their kindness, compassion and professionalism.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Mayo University Hospital Castlebar for the care and compassion shown to the family.
Thank you to St Peter's GAC, INF Foresters, Glasgow Celtic Supporters Club Lurgan Number 1 and Paddy O'Hagan for the catering after the funeral.
As it's not possible to thank everyone personally , please accept this acknowledgement as a sincere expression of our family's gratitude.
Sean's Month's Mind Mass will take place on Tuesday 31st March 2026 at 7.00pm in St Peter's Church Lurgan.
