We the family of the late Shane Hurson would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. Thanks to all who attended the wake, funeral, those who sent Mass, sympathy cards and messages on social media. We also express our sincere gratitude to relatives, neighbours, friends and local business who brought food, all those who helped in the kitchen during the wake and those who helped with traffic management and transportation, Brian McDermott Motors, Conor Harte, Harte Demolition and Fox contracts for lighting.
We thank all those who cared for Shane, the staff of Carrickmore Health Centre, Community Respiratory and District Nursing Teams; Social Worker Aoife McCullagh, Staff at Ward 8 SWAH, Pharmacist Fiona and her Team in Hartes Pharmacy, Care Plus care agency especially Aisling, Annemarie, Caroline and Laura. Thank you to Deidre for your care.
Thank you to the Staff of The Omagh Centre and Strule Erne Centre where Shane spent many happy years making loads of friends.
Thank you to all the Star Breakers family for all the happy times you shared with Shane.
Thanks to those who lined the route and participants in the Guard of Honour.
Our sincere thanks to Father Peter McAnenly for his spiritual support for Shane especially during his final illness and for the beautiful requiem mass and his support for the family throughout and following the funeral.
We would like to thank those who participated in the funeral Mass and those who carried symbolic tributes to Shane’s life especially Sean and Aoife. Thank you to Jackie and Eamon for the beautiful music and singing. Thanks to the Sacristan Colette and altar servers.
Our heartfelt thanks to Peadar and Ryan FMC funeral services for the dignified and professional way the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the grave digger Ciaran for preparing Shanes final resting place. Thanks to Eilis for use of Patrician Hall, the volunteers and to Kelley and staff at The Charm Inn for providing refreshments.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our deep gratitude and appreciation to everyone who helped and supported us in any way.
Thank you Shane for being our special brother, you brought so much joy and love into our lives, you will be forever missed.
Shanes Month Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Colmcille’s Church Carrickmore on Monday 4th May 7.30pm.
