Shaun McGinley
21 Dunbiggan Road,
Eskra, Co. Tyrone, BT78 2RR
Died 18th August 2026.

In the name of Shaun, we his wife Margaret, his children Michelle, Marisa, Helen, Shauna, Aisling and James, together with our extended family, wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all who supported us throughout Shaun’s illness and recent bereavement.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who visited Shaun at home and in hospital, attended his wake, sent Mass and Sympathy cards, messages and flowers, lined the funeral route, and to everyone who joined us for his Requiem Mass and burial. We are deeply grateful to our neighbours, local businesses and family friends for their generous support, kindness and practical help during the wake. The stories, memories and companionship shared during those days have brought great comfort to us all.

A special thank you to Canon McGahan for your spiritual guidance, friendship and support to Shaun and our family. We also extend our sincere thanks to Canon McKenna (Trillick Parish), who kindly joined us to celebrate Shaun’s Requiem Mass. Your presence and prayers meant a great deal to us.

We offer our heartfelt appreciation to the Palliative Care Team, whose compassion and professionalism supported Shaun both at home and during his time in hospital. Our sincere thanks also to the District Nursing Team, who cared for Shaun meticulously each day and whose dedication brought reassurance and dignity to his final months.

We extend our gratitude to all the staff in Ward 8 at the South West Acute Hospital for the exceptional care, respect and kindness shown to Shaun and to our family. Your support will never be forgotten.

We also wish to acknowledge Fintona Medical Practice and Fintona Medical Hall for their continued professional care and guidance over the years. Your assistance was invaluable throughout Shaun’s illness.

A sincere thank you to McAtee’s Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which all arrangements were carried out.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Shaun is loved, remembered and missed every day. May his strength, kindness and character live on in all who knew him.
Shaun’s Month’s Memory Mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Church, Eskra, on Saturday 19th September at 11.00am.
