In loving memory of Sheila Strawbridge, 13 Knockwellan Park, Derry who passed away suddenly but peacefully on 4th November 2025 in Altnagelvin Hospital. Sheila is remembered as a widely respected member of the Waterside community, but primarily as a great mother and the rock anchoring our family together. She was the devoted wife of the late William, treasured and sorely missed mother of Paul, Karen, Kevin, Damian, Colin, Ciaran, Sarah and the late Gary. A much loved grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister in law, aunt, mother in law and a friend to many.
We, her family, wish to express our sincere appreciation and thanks to all who sympathised and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. We are extremely grateful to everyone who attended the wake, for every mass card, sympathy card given.
We are blessed to have the love and support of our family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues throughout this difficult time.
A special word of thanks to Father Patrick Lagan for his spiritual support and lovely Requiem Mass. Thank you to the singers and musicians for their beautiful musical. Thank you to WJ O’Brien & Son Funeral Directors for their guidance and the professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were conducted.
Finally, we wish to convey our sincere appreciation and thanks to the many medical staff who did their best to deal with mums illnesses over recent times and their efforts to preserve life and to comfort our mum in her final hours.
Sheila is loved and greatly missed every day. May her kind and humble soul be granted peace and eternal rest.
