Stephen HAMMERTON
Passed away suddenly at home 13 Lighthouse View, Central Promenade, Newcastle, Co Down on 2nd September 2026.
Beloved husband of the late Mary, much loved brother of Helen (Rick), the late Alan (Elizabeth), David (Jackie), Trevor (Carol) and Carole (Roy). Cherished Uncle and Great Uncle. He will be sadly missed by the entire family circle.
Stephen is reposing at Wilton’s Funeral Home, Ravenhill Road, Belfast.
The family will be available at Newcastle Baptist Church, 17 Bryansford Road, Newcastle, BT33 0HJ between 7pm - 9pm on Tuesday 8th September for those wishing to pay their respects.
Funeral Service on Wednesday 9th September in Newcastle Baptist Church at 11am followed by cremation at Roselawn Crematorium at 2.40pm.
The family would encourage those attending either service to wear personal medals or decorations in recognition of Stephen’s military service.
