Susan McGrath (Née Morris) Grouselodge, Pettigo and Barnes View Ward, St. Joseph’s Community Hospital, Stranorlar. 13th February 2026.

We, the family of the late Susan McGrath, would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us following our recent loss.

Our deepest gratitude goes to the marvellous staff at Barnes View Ward, St. Joseph’s Community Hospital, who cared for Susan and to her neighbours and friends who visited her there.

To all who attended the wake, the Requiem Mass, provided Mass and Sympathy Cards, brought food or left donations for Barnes View Ward – we are humbled by your kindness. To those who messaged, telephoned or supported us in any way during the weeks following Susan’s passing, your thoughtfulness brought us great comfort.

We thank Fr. Kieran McAteer and Fr. Vincent Finnegan for their support throughout Susan’s time at Barnes View with a special mention to Fr. Vincent who attended her at the time of her death. We are also grateful to Canon Billy Johnston for his attendance and kindness shown to our family during the wake. Thanks to Fr. Patsy Arkinson and Fr. Lorcan Sharkey for their attendance at the wake. A special word of thanks to Fr. La Flynn who attended the wake and who was the Principal Celebrant at the Requiem Mass, and to Fr. Frank McManus and Fr. Lorcan Sharkey for concelebrating.

Thanks to Claude McKervey, Funeral Director, for his professionalism and guidance and to the grave diggers, John and Michael Dan. To Catherine, Emma, Paul and Hannah, the music and songs were beautiful; Susan would have truly loved them. Thanks to James, Brendan and Denis for managing traffic, it greatly assisted everyone. Finally we thank the Termon Centre for providing refreshments in the lovely Lettercran Hall.

We are deeply moved by the support given by all, thank you. The Holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.

Susan’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday, March 15th, 2026 at 9.30 am in St. Joseph’s Chapel, Lettercran.
