Thomas Leo (Tommy) Gallagher, Co. Fermanagh
We, the family of the late Thomas Leo (Tommy) Gallagher, wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to all who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement.
We are especially grateful to the extended Gallagher and O’Connor families, our neighbours, friends, work colleagues and everyone who travelled near and far to support us during this sad and difficult time—whether by attending the wake or funeral, sending cards or flowers, bringing food, sharing messages of condolence, making donations in lieu of flowers to the Society of St Vincent de Paul, or helping in any way.
A sincere and special word of thanks goes to all who cared for and supported Dad throughout his life, and particularly in his final days. We deeply appreciate the compassionate care given by the Consultants, Doctors and Nurses in Resus, the Intensive Care Unit and Ward 22 at Altnagelvin Hospital; Dr Mitchell and the Oncology Team at the Cancer Centre, Belfast City Hospital; the medical teams in the South West Acute Hospital; Dr King and all the staff at Ederney Surgery; Eugene McGrade and the team at McGrade’s Pharmacy; and the staff at Kesh Pharmacy.
We are truly thankful to Fr Frank McManus for his pastoral support and for celebrating such a beautiful and fitting Requiem Mass, and to Eleanor Farry and Paul Mongan for their moving music and singing.
We offer our sincere gratitude to Funeral Director Claude McKervey, assisted by Patsy Dolan and the entire team of gravediggers, for the exceptionally professional and dignified way they carried out Dad’s funeral arrangements. We are also deeply thankful to Claude and Bridgeen McKervey, Dr. Dermot O’Kane, Nurse Fiona O’Kane, and all the paramedics for the additional care and support they provided to Mum during the wake. Our appreciation also goes to Lorraine Maguire for the beautiful refreshments prepared for those attending the wake on both evenings.
We extend our gratitude to Bannagh Community Hall Committee for the use of the hall, and to Joe Mahon and his staff at Mahon’s Hotel for the beautiful meal provided afterwards.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our sincere appreciation.
"God has you in His keeping,
We have you in our hearts.
Though a month has passed since we parted,
Our love for you never departs."

Tommy’s Month’s Mind Mass will take place on Easter Sunday, 5 April, at 11.00am in St Joseph’s Church, Ederney.
