The death has occurred of:
Tommy Nelis
Margaret, his wife, and the family of the late Tommy Nelis, wish to express our sincere thanks and heartfelt appreciation to everyone who sympathised with and supported us during the recent loss of our much-loved husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.
We would like to thank our family and friends who travelled far and wide, our neighbours, and all who attended the wake and funeral. Your presence, prayers and kindness brought us great comfort through such a difficult time.
Our sincere thanks go to all who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards and floral tributes. Thank you also to everyone who provided food, refreshments and practical help at the wake. Special thanks to our niece Bridget Donegan, for all her loving help and support during his wake and funeral.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the Hospital at Home Care Team, for the dignified, gentle and compassionate care given to Tommy during his illness.
Thank you also to the doctors and staff at Aberfoyle Medical Practice for all their support, and to the team at Northwest Carers, for the professional, thoughtful and respectful way they cared for Tommy – it meant the world to him and to all of us.
A special thank you to Fr Roni, for conducting such a beautiful, personal service for Tommy; it brought us such peace and comfort.
Thank you to Erin Carlin, for the lovely music and singing during the Mass – it was perfectly fitting and deeply touching.
Our thanks also to W.J. O’Brien & Son Undertakers, for the caring, professional and dignified way they arranged and managed Tommy’s funeral arrangements.
As it is not possible to thank every person individually, please accept this notice as a token of our sincere appreciation and heartfelt gratitude for every act of kindness shown to us.
Tommy’s Month Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Brigid’s Chapel, Carnhill on Tuesday 25th August at 9:20 a.m.
All are most welcome to attend.
