We, the family of the late Tony McGonagle, wish to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to everyone who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement.
Thank you to all who called to our home, sent mass cards, sympathy cards, letters and messages of condolence. Thank you to those who baked, provided food and refreshments. We will be eternally grateful to all our family and friends who helped in any way throughout the wake. All your kind words and support have helped us so much.
Thank you to all who attended and travelled to be with us at the funeral. Thank you also to those who made donations in lieu of flowers to ‘Friends of Altnagelvin’. We truly appreciate your support and generosity at this difficult time.
We would like to sincerely thank the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, the Fire Service and the staff at Altnagelvin A&E for the care they provided to Tony when he took ill. We would also like to express our deep gratitude to the doctors, nurses and all staff at Altnagelvin ICU for the dignified end of life care provided to Tony. Your sincere compassion is greatly appreciated and will always be remembered.
We would also like to thank the staff at Cityview Medical for the excellent care provided to Tony over the last number of years.
A special word of thanks to both Fr Daniel McFaul and Fr Michael Canny who attended to Tony during his time in Altnagelvin. Your spiritual guidance and support is greatly appreciated.
Thank you to Fr Canny for celebrating the beautiful funeral Mass and to Sarah Griffin & Damien McAdams for the wonderful singing and music. You made the service so special and meaningful for us. Thank you also to the gravediggers who prepared Tony’s final resting place in Burt.
Finally, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the funeral directors, W J O’Brien & Son, and especially to Kieran and Noeleen, for their professionalism and dignified handling of Tony’s funeral arrangements and for all the support they provided to our family.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement is accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation.
