The death has occurred of:
Turlough McNally
Turlough McNally, 7th April 2026, RIP
Declan, Tracey, Gabriel, Mattie and Morgan and entire family circle would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised and supported us during our recent sudden bereavement of our beloved Turlough.
Our sincere thanks to all the family, friends, neighbours, colleagues and the wider community who have helped in countless ways during this sad time.
Thanks to all who organised and helped at the wake, including those individuals and local businesses who brought or sent food, provided catering, lighting, marquees, co-ordinated traffic and transportation and sat up at night. Thanks to those who attended the wake, sent letters, Mass cards, Sympathy cards, social media messages and floral tributes, we are overwhelmed by your support.
A truly heartfelt word of thanks and appreciation to all who carefully and respectfully attended Turlough at our home including family members, the Paramedic team, Termon Community Responders, Dr Slane and Fr McAnenly.
Thanks to Turlough’s friends and family who made journeys home from Australia, the USA and England to attend the wake and funeral. The outpouring of friendship and support from young people from near and far who attended the wake in large numbers was overwhelming and a credit to our youth.
Thanks to Turlough’s close friends who touchingly accompanied the Funeral cortege. Thanks to all those who co-ordinated and displayed tractors, lorries and cars along the route from home to the Chapel, a fitting tribute that he would have loved. Thanks to everyone who lined the funeral route to the Chapel, the many representatives from community organisations and businesses and to the many participants in the Guard of Honour at the Chapel. To all those who attended the funeral mass or joined us via webcam on the day of the funeral, we are truly grateful.
A personal word of thanks to Turlough’s Ecohog family who helped in various ways during the wake and funeral and since, as we come to terms with our collective loss.
Special appreciation to Fr Peter McAnenly P.P. for his spiritual support and pastoral care which continues to give us strength during this sad and difficult time. Thanks for the beautiful Requiem Mass and the fitting tribute paid to Turlough.
We would also like to thank everyone who helped organise the readings, prayers and mass booklets and those who diligently participated in the funeral mass and symbolic tributes of Turlough’s life.
Thanks to the Sacristan Colette, altar servers, lay ministers and to Therese for the beautiful floral tributes.
Special thanks to Helen, Clare, Caoimhe, Tess & Patrick for the beautiful and touching music and singing during the funeral that provided such a memorable farewell and to the piper Shea providing accompaniment outside the Chapel and before the burial.
We offer our sincere gratitude to Ryan and Turlough’s loving Uncle Peadar and Aunt Kelley for the caring and dignified manner in which they conducted the removal and funeral arrangements and tribute to the grave diggers who carefully prepared Turlough’s final resting place. Thanks to The Charm Inn staff, for the beautiful refreshments, thanks also to The Public House and Gina’s Bar for providing additional space for the Funeral tea. A sincere thank you to Seamus for all his help during and after the wake.
We have been humbly touched by the wonderful support we have continued to receive from family, friends, neighbours and colleagues since Turlough’s funeral, we are truly blessed and grateful.
As it would not be possible to thank everyone individually who has been so supportive since Turlough’s passing, we trust that our acknowledgement will express our sincere appreciation and everlasting gratitude to all of you. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
Finally to a much loved son, brother, godfather, nephew, cousin and friend, we have been blessed to have had you in our lives, we thank you for the love, laughter and memories you leave behind.
Turlough’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Thursday 14th May at 7.30pm in St Colmcille’s Church Carrickmore. Mass can also be viewed on Church webcam.
Your life touched so many and will be remembered forever more.
Rest in Eternal Peace
