***ACKNOWLEDGEMENT / MONTH MIND NOTICE***
Willie (Bill) McCauley
Died - 17th November 2025
We the family of the late Willie McCauley would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for all the kindness, support and sympathy we received during the recent loss of our dear husband and father.
Thank you to everyone who attended his wake and funeral, those who travelled a distance to be with us, sent condolences, mass cards and flowers. To all those who supported us with the catering and organisation at the wake, your kindness will never be forgotten, especially his neighbours in Shandon Park.
Sincere thank you to Mr. Kieran Connor, Warren and all the staff at McClafferty Funeral Directors for the professional, attentive and dignified manner in which all aspects of Willie’s wake and funeral were carried out and for the support we as a family received.
We want to thank specifically the staff from Acute Care at Home and the many teams and staff in Altnagelvin Hospital involved in his care. We wish to extend our gratitude to all the Doctors and Staff at Cityview Medical Practice, including Treatment Room staff. We want to sincerely thank Fr. Canny P.P. and Fr. McFaul for their chaplaincy in Altnagelvin Hospital.
Dear friends and family who supported us lovingly through his very short illness, it meant the world to him.
Thank you to everyone who gave donations in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer’s Society and Ward 22.
Our heartfelt appreciation to Fr. Michael Doherty for the beautiful Requiem Mass and also to the Eucharistic Ministers during the funeral service. Finally, our heartfelt thanks to Erin and Isobel for providing such beautiful singing and music.
It is impossible to thank everyone who supported us as a family and who paid their respects to our father, please accept this acknowledgement as our sincere gratitude to everyone.
Willie’s months mind mass will be held in St. Patrick’s Chapel, Pennyburn on Wednesday 17th December at 7pm.
