The death has occurred of:
Winifred (Winnie) BROLLY
The daughters and sons of the late Winifred (Winnie) Brolly, Lorraine, Stina, Noel and Shaun wish to express our sincere thanks to everyone who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement. To our close family, friends and neighbours and all those who paid their respects, attended the wake and funeral, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, letters, phone calls, messages, flowers and food - these were a great comfort to us at a difficult time. We will never forget your kindness.
A heartfelt thank you is extended to Fr Dermott Harkin for his frequent home visits to Winnie which brought her great comfort and peace. Sincere thanks to both Monsignor McCanny and Fr Harkin for their presence and comfort at our family home. A most sincere thank you to Fr Harkin for his beautiful Requiem Mass.
Special thanks to Sally and Clare for their care and support to Winnie over the past number of years. A special word of thanks to the Connected Health Limavady home care team who called to Winnie’s home each day and provided care. Thanks also to the doctors, nurses and staff at Bovally Medical Practice, in particular Dr Lisa Thorpe for her time and assistance. Thank you all for your kindness, it has been of great comfort to us during this sad time.
Thanks to all at W. J. O’Brien and Son Funeral Directors, Eglinton for the professional and caring manner in which they carried out the funeral. Our thanks also to Liam McFeely for providing the beautiful music at the funeral Mass, and to the staff in Curran’s bakery who provided refreshments afterwards in the parish hall.
Although it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our family's deep appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for the intentions of all.
Winnie’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 23rd May 2026 at 6.00pm in St. Finlough’s Chapel.
