The Angels gathered so very close to you, for they knew the pain and suffering that you were going through. I thought about so many things as I held tightly to your hand but your eyes were looking Homeward, to that place beyond the sky, where Jesus held His outstretched arms, it was time for you to fly. I struggled with my selfish thoughts for I wanted you so much to stay,
you and me forever, Mum, one hand in a glove but Jesus knew the answer. I knew you loved Him, so I give to you my life's greatest gift, the gift of letting you go.
We'll never be parted, Mum, by separation or death, for you live inside my aching heart, until my last breath.
Such a strong person, my Mum, you done us so proud. Until we meet again. That day I'll run to you, be strong Mum, you'll live in my memory.
