13th May 2026 peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved wife of Ronnie, Gleneagles, loving mother of Gerrard and Rosaleen, mother-in-law of Sarah and Mike, devoted grandmother of Daniel, Finn, Evie, Eoin, Grace and Anna, dear sister of John and the late Patrick and Michael and cherished cousin of Anne.

House private please.

Everyone is welcome to pay their respects at W J O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, BT47 3PU, on Friday from 2 – 3 pm and 7 – 9 pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Eugene’s Cathedral on Saturday at 1 o’clock. Interment afterwards in the City cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to Alzheimer’s Society.

Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

The IEF is deeply saddened by the news of the passing of our former Chair, Marie Cowan. Marie was the former Principal of Oakgrove Integrated College and she dedicated so much of life to Integrated Education. Marie was a champion of our Carson Awards where she loved the judging the creative talents of all our students. Our thoughts are with her husband Ronnie, her children Gerrard and Rosaleen and the entire family circle at this sad time. Integrated Education Fund Thursday 14 May 2026
